Winter Warmth and Flood

Texas has been having an unusually warm and wet winter this year. With a recent storm, my town saw some slight flooding and the river was bursting at it’s banks:

I hear it’s due to the jet stream and a wonky la nina year – but whatever it is – I am thankful for both the rain and the warmth. My crazy roses are even still blooming…

Also – we have had many opportunities to get outside and play! My boys do well when they can get out and move – winters are usually miserable for us all. Not this one!

We have also made friends with our neighborhood duo of Donkey and Longhorn. These guys are so sweet and we now take the time to drive by almost every day and say “hi”.

I would love to get a donkey soon – or perhaps a baby Zebra. Just not sure where I will keep it for now – although the “football field” behind the house would make a great area (I’ll need to buy it soon)…
