Wanted to post my oldest son’s Valentine Card – and wish everyone a Happy Valentines Day. Creating something that an 8 year old boy would like – while battling my urge to make it artistic and creative – was quite the challenge. Jack is really over having his picture taken by me, so to get him to cooperate, I told him that he could design the entire shoot. He picked the wardrobe and ALL the poses (and of course the prop – aka: football). I let him pick the shots to put on the card – and let him choose the wording. SO … here is the happy medium between “kid cool” and “photographically correct”. 🙂

…and then there’s the little one. I haven’t had the nerve to do a re-shoot of him in “the wings”. So – we are using the original images. It was pointed out to me that the wings in the original shoot were upside down. Hmmm. Shows how often I deal with wings, huh? I have boys, and boys don’t do wings that often. And they looked like they were the right side up to me – it looks like he could take off flying! (which he almost did midway through this shoot…).
And for the grandparents: (I DO take pictures of my own kids…)
